Thank you for taking the time to search for my profile to share your review. I am sorry that you were not impressed with our services as we try to go above and beyond for our valued clients. To be transparent to consumers who may read your review, I’d like to clear up some inaccuracies stated in your post. Yes, our compensation was more than the discount broker you spoke with, but it was less than the 3% that most agents require. Our main objective as your agents was to sell your mother’s home, quickly and at the highest value determined by the market. The additional services that we provided outside of the written sales agreement were, clearing the home and property, selling items that we could, and removing any remaining items for donation. You asked several times for a detailed, itemized list of your mother’s belongings, accumulated after living in the home for 50+ years. I explained several times that we would not be providing that as it was outside of our written agreement and beyond our scope of work, as well as a tedious and time-consuming task. We sold the items we could and donated the rest. We spent many days at the home making sure this was achieved so the home was presentable for the new buyer. The house sold quickly in a difficult market, at the price you and your family agreed to. That is what we were contracted to do. I understand that selling your childhood home is extremely difficult, especially when your mother was unhappy about having to do it. I also understand that you may feel that your mother’s possessions had great value, but unfortunately consumers and professional buyers disagreed. We communicated with your local family on a regular basis, as requested. They may have shared or not shared all communications with you. I’m sure it was very hard for you to try to control all aspects of the process from several states away. I wish you and your family the best and thank you for your business.
